Coffee With A Cause

Happy Monday Babes!!!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are ready to kill this weeks goals, whatever they may be for you. If you need a little inspo to help you get driven, this post is definitely for you! I am going to be sharing my FAVE coffee shop in Houston A2ndCup and their amazing mission.

A2ndCup is a coffee shop that is making major moves against human trafficking in Houston. They are completely non-profit, using the sales from the shop to help end human trafficking. They are also channeling their profits into aftercare solutions for human trafficking survivors such as education, counselling, work experience, etc. As their profits grow they are also hoping to start donating to other partner organizations that are fighting to end human trafficking as well.

I was so ecstatic when they asked me to come in to do a write up for them. I am always looking for ways to use my platform to enact change and make a impact in the world, if I can help spread the word on the amazing things A2ndCup is doing and help educate people on human trafficking how could I pass that up?

While I was there I had a chance to try out some of their coffees and seriously guys they were all phenomenal! I tried the Sweet Toff Iced, Latte, Cortado, and the Horchata Sidekick. My favourites out of them all were definitely the Latte and Sweet Toff but they were all amazing!

If you are ever in Houston I can't recommend stopping in A2ndCup enough. They are doing such amazing work and nothing tastes better than coffee with a cause, plus their coffee makes a great Instagram shot ;)

How to Dress for Fall in the Texas Heat

Happy Hump Day Babes!

I don't know about you guys but this week is taking FOREVER for me! I just want the weekend to get here ASAP! But until then I thought I would share one of my favourite outfits with you guys. I have been working on how to bring fall fashion into the Texas heat without melting so take a look at what I came up with!

This outfit is perfect for giving you those fall vibes because of all the warm, autumn tones but also cool enough to keep you from melting in this killer Texas heat :P

I decided to go with this cute quarter sleeve top because it is long enough to give you the feeling of fall but won't make you sweat to death, plus the cold shoulder design will help keep you cool. The colours are perfect for fall as well.

I paired it with these super cute green shorts. I love that they have colour but notice how it isn't bright but muted which is perfect for the fall and that little strip detailing on the sides was just too adorable!

I am seriously obsessing over these wedge/bootie hybrids! They literally scream fall with their nice beige colouring and suede material.

For accessories I went simple with just this silver necklace and brown shades.

Eid Mubarak!

Eid Mubarak Babes!

IMG_0096.jpg

For those of you who don't know today is the beginning of Eid Al-Adha, also sometimes called the Sacrifice Feast. It is a 3 day celebration that honours the willingness of the prophet Abraham who was told by God to sacrifice his son but before he did God replaced his son with a goat. So during the celebration families sacrifice an animal to commemorate that.
